Convergent Sciences Laboratories (CSLabs) is an advanced technology and engineering small business (primary NAICS code 541715) that combines expertise in fundamental physics, data sciences, and computational methods with professional software development skillsets to tackle the most challenging technical problems. CSLabs personnel have experience working in both the commercial sector and the DoD, including most recent projects with the U.S. Navy, DARPA, DMEA, U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, and NGA.
Based in Alexandria, Virginia, our vibrant culture and commitment to collaboration set us apart. We support other small businesses while delivering robust, scientifically driven capabilities that empower our clients to excel.

Dr. Tan brings deep expertise in coding and advanced algorithm development, and in recent years has led the creation of innovative solutions in autonomous systems and AI-enhanced decision-making tools.

Senior Software Engineer
Senior Software Engineer at CSLabs who began as an intern in 2016 and has since become a central contributor to the company’s defense and technology programs. Over the years, he has played pivotal roles in advancing autonomy, mixed-reality visualization, AI-driven software, and simulation tools, consistently delivering innovative solutions to complex challenges.

Senior Scientist at CSLabs with over 40 years of experience advancing defense and technology. He leads advanced research and development efforts, turning complex scientific ideas into innovative, real-world solutions. Throughout his career, Tim has supported numerous high-impact DoD initiatives.
Rebekah Tan
Facility Security Officer & Alexandria Office Manager
Rebekah ensures our people, information, and workspace operate securely and efficiently. She leads day-to-day security compliance, supports personnel clearance processing, and runs office operations that keep projects moving on time and on budget.
Arun Kothari
Junior Software Engineer
Began his career at CSLabs as an intern and has grown into a valuable member of the software engineering team. Hungry to keep proving his worth, he contributes to the full software development lifecycle by assisting with coding, testing, research, and debugging while continuing to learn and apply industry best practices.
Susan Eason
Accountant
Susan is an Accountant at CSLabs who manages government cost accounting, project billing, and compliance. She works with accounting systems that meet DCAA standards, keeps timekeeping and labor distribution compliant, tracks indirect rates, and supports accurate job cost reporting and federal invoicing.

Beyond defense tech, we give back to our community by supporting other small businesses like Arte Suave Jiu Jitsu, located near the NGA building in Fort Belvoir and a popular training place for veterans—and nonprofits such as Misfit Hounds, which rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes at-risk hounds. As dog lovers at CSLabs, we are deeply committed to helping these animals find the safe, loving homes they deserve, because we believe that innovation should be paired with compassion.
